Twenty three year old Fil-American Gabby Grantham from New York is on her second visit to the country. She will be going to Cebu to celebrate the holidays with family and friends. As her prize, she received a tour package with hotel accommodation.

“This milestone is significant because this is a result of a collaborative effort of the partners in the tourism industry, both from the government and  private sectors,” Bengzon remarked. “We have always maintained that the achievement in the tourism industry is not for the DOT alone but for the entire country,” he added.
The latest official DOT figures revealed that there were 4.39M international visitors from the period January to October 2015, an increase of 11.5 % from the previous year. The tourism department expects this would still reach 5.2M by the year-end.
