There were no surprises at the end of PTAA’S 23rd Travel Tour Expo as to which outbound tour packages are the most saleable this year.
Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Korea were the most consistently sold tour packages among the eighty travel agencies that participated in this year’s event held at the SMX.
Emerging destinations were more varied, however, as the easing up of visa restrictions to some countries were seen as opportunities by Filipino travelers and they have shown interest in Turkey, the Balkans, Scandinavia, and Eastern Europe, while perennial also-rans U.S.A., China, and the Holy Land had brisk sales.
The 23rd TTE attracted more than 120,000 foot traffic in the 3-day showcase and had its first B2B event.
