(HONG KONG, October 25, 2017) Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) launched its upgraded Travel Professional Website, www.HKDLTA.com, complete with brand-new functionalities available in English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese. Through the dedicated travel trade portal, industry professionals can stay informed on the latest resort happenings and sales and marketing tools, strengthen their product knowledge of HKDL through the one-stop online training program for the travel trade, as well as make online bookings for customers using the robust e-commerce functions to deliver greater customer service.

“The revamped Travel Professional Website offers a range of new features to make sales business with HKDL easier and more efficient,” said James Tung, director of Travel Trade Sales, HKDL. “We foresee the portal being a vibrant online marketplace for our trade partners, be it on mobile devices, tablets or computers, where they can find everything they need to know about the resort, undergo online training and book resort products for their customers anytime, anywhere. In fact, this is one of our key initiatives this year to expand distribution channels in markets that are less easily reached, such as the Southeast Asian markets. We value the potential of each market and are excited about the opportunities to cast a wider trade network which will in turn expand our reach to end consumers.”

Visually appealing website rich with tailored features

The revamped Travel Professional Website—designed to be as user-friendly and visually appealing as HKDL’s consumer site—is an upgraded information hub where travel trade partners can stay in touch with the resort’s latest products and news, access lists of HKDL’s contracted wholesalers, read the resort’s travel trade e-newsletter Disney Connector, or download press releases and trade event photos. The site is more than an information portal: two brand-new functionalities have been added to facilitate trade partners’ HKDL sales and promotion activities.

Interactive online training programs

Travel trade partners can also take advantage of a brand-new multi-media interactive online training program, “College of Hong Kong Disneyland Knowledge,” to get acquainted with the resort’s products and gain rewards. The training program offers courses on product knowledge, sales tools and marketing assets, as well as business processes and rules that facilitate travel agents’ HKDL sales and promotion activities. Individual travel agents can undertake training modules at their own pace through computers and smart devices. As they progress through different learning stages, they will receive reward incentives such as specially designed Disney themed e-certificates, resort familiarization trips and special offers including park tickets and hotel rooms.

Seamless transactions through B2B E-commerce function

The B2B E-commerce function, launched on October 23, offers travel agencies greater convenience and flexibility in purchasing HKDL products, including park tickets, dining vouchers, special experiences and promotional offers. Through the seamless, one-stop transaction channel, trade partners can deliver enhanced service experience to customers. A confirmation letter, including an E-ticket (if applicable), will be issued after the transaction is completed online. Customers can simply use the QR code on the E-ticket to redeem associated products.
“The site will be a highly useful tool for all travel agents,” Tung added. “We look forward to building closer links with the travel industry as we continue to innovate the resort’s sales and marketing channels to refine the sales experience.”
