It will be for entering your room for now but it will be a first in the Philippines.
Hilton Hotels and Resorts will be introducing keyless technology when it opens its property in Manila. This is just one of a number of surprises in store for its guests when the hotel opens in June 2018.
“We will have the digital, keyless check-in through your mobile. You can check in via smartphone and android; but it goes as far as entering your room,” said Joanne Golong-Gomez, Hilton Manila Director of Business Development.
“In other countries, you don’t have to pass the front desk when you check-in online, but here in Asian countries, there are still some prerequisites when checking in like submission of proper identification like passports,” Gomez added.
The hotel promises to show off what it says it does best—service and innovation.
Hilton Manila has 357 rooms, a ballroom with capacity of 400 persons (round table setting), 4 meeting rooms for 60 persons each, and 5 dining outlets.
It will banner Kusina Sea Kitchen, an all-day dining a la our very own “Dampa” restaurant to showcase a variety of fresh sea food. There will be a small area for private functions inside the restaurant. Another culinary stop will be the “Arowana”, a Shanghainese restaurant that differs from Cantonese cuisine. Other F&B options are The Port Bar; the Madison Bar and Lounge, a New York-styled bar that serves morning fare, then bar fare in the evening. Its resort-styled swimming pool and bar will have a freestyle menu as it will be shared by guests from adjacent Sheraton Hotel.
A momentous return
“We want to let the people aware that we are back after a long time and we will bring back that time when we were dubbed as “The Hotel” where famous people stayed,” Golong-Gomez stated.
With tough competition expected from other hotel chains launched ahead as well as those to open in the next couple of years, she imparted that Hilton’s cutting edge will be its people. No.9 in the World’s Best Workplaces 2017 and No.26 in Best 100 Companies by Fortune 100, the hotel is known as focusing best on training of career growth and also in terms of service.
“Top management believes we have the best hospitality in the world so we will have the Filipino touch, she added.
Another feature that will raise the bar will be Hilton’s entirely new concept in culinary offerings that will be spearheaded by its award- winning Australian chef.
