APG Philippines, Inc. has been appointed by Scoot, the low-cost arm of the Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group, as its general sales agent (GSA) in the Philippines. Scoot currently flies out of four ports in the Philippines, namely Cebu, Clark, Kalibo, Manila, to 58 other destinations via Singapore. As Scoot’s new GSA and local sales representative, APG Philippines Inc. will focus on developing and broadening Scoot’s reach through agency sales and offer Filipino travelers more destinations at a reasonable price.
Tisha Escalona, sales and marketing manager of APG Philippines for Scoot, said “Both companies are aligned in terms of their vision to create more travel opportunities to Filipinos which makes this partnership formidable. We promise not only to offer the market more choices and connectivity, but also value for money.”
Scoot presently flies 2x daily from Manila, 1x from Clark, and 4x a week from Cebu to Singapore. It also flies to Boracay but due to the temporary closure, all flights to the island are cancelled until its scheduled re-opening in October this year. Popular regional destinations include Bali, Bangkok, Maldives, Perth, Melbourne, Gold Coast, and Amritsar. Scoot also connects the Philippines to favourite long-haul destinations such as Hawaii, Athens, and soon to Berlin via Singapore.
