TIEZA signs TEZ partnership agreements with four more entities

The Tourism Infrastructure Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) just signed Tourism Enterprise Zone (TEZ) agreements with Bucas Grande FTEZ Designation, Amorita Resort TEZ, Aton Land and Leisure TEZ and Magikland Cultural Zone, and Kingdome Stadium RTE.

Bucas Grande is situated in the municipality of Socorro in Bucas Grande, Siargao, a 167.7 hectare area that is accessible to other existing and potential major Tourism Influence Areas (TIAs) including Sohoton Bay with its distinct islands and coves; the Stingless Jelly fish Sanctuary; Giant Mangroves, Puyang Beach, and Tiktikan Lake.

Amorita Resort aims to add to its already existing 38 rooms to a total of 97 rooms and villas and adding another pool and restaurant. It will expand the scope and diversity of its projects through the protection of the Tawala Marine Protected Area off Alona Beach. By 2020, Amorita envisions a variety of facilities through the development of the Halina Artists Village in partnership with the Philippine Bohol Arts Foundation to provide a village consisting of several cottages and shops, an amphitheater, and a common area for local arts.

Aton Land and Leisure Zone is in Barangay Guinhalaran, Silay City, Negros Occidental. It is a 13-hectare TEZ composed of a theme park, a lifestyle complex, and a commercial complex. Magikland Theme Park is located within Aton and will showcase Silay Heritage sites. Magikland will also showcase cultural assets, particularly festivals, culinary assets and delicacies, music, arts and Negrense folklore.

Kingdome Stadium in Davao City is envisioned to be the biggest dome in Asia with 55,000 capacity and a maximum of 75,000. It surpasses the Singapore National Stadium and the Tokyo Dome. The 24-hectare project will be the first world class integrated leisure resort destination in the Southern Philippines to include a 150-room condo hotel, a 120-room hotel and museum, a 120-room luxury hotel, and a MICE facility. It will also have a hangar for small and medium-sized aircraft for operations and air taxi services, a water park, and a commercial center.

TIEZA COO Pocholo Paragas and Ms Racquel A Gaerlan, OIC TEZ Management sector were present to sign the agreements with the representatives of each entity.
