MANILA, 01 November 2018 — AirAsia is now flying three times weekly from Manila to Kaohsiung in Taiwan. World’s Best Low Cost Airline flew its maiden flight last October 30 from Manila’s NAIA Terminal 3 to Kaohsiung International Airport.

AirAsia Philippines CEO Captain Dexter Commendador said, “AirAsia is thrilled to add Manila-Kaohsiung to our growing list of exciting places to visit in Taiwan. With AirAsia’s unparalleled low fares and visa-free access to Taiwan for Filipinos, now is the best time to explore this massive port city and home to skyscrapers, shopping malls, night markets, parks, historical and natural wonders.”

To celebrate AirAsia’s newest flight, guests flying to Kaohsiung on the inaugural flight joined the send-off program attended by Ambassador Michael Peiyung Hsu of Taiwan Economic Cultural Office and NAIA Airport.

Aside from Manila – Kaohsiung, the airline also flies direct to Taipei from Manila, Clark and Cebu with several flights daily.

Being the only local carrier that flies direct to Kaohsiung from Manila, AirAsia departs Manila to Kaohsiung every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 1635, and leaves Kaohsiung for Manila same day at 1840.

Kaohsiung is famous for towering buildings and diverse parks but the most notable is the Love River, where cafés and cruise boats are the main attractions.
