Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Puneet Dhawan as its new General Manager.

With 25 years of expertise in the hospitality industry, 20 years of which spent with Accor, he was recently the VP for Operations – Economy and Midscale brands of AccorHotels Middle East Region based in Dubai for three years.

Holding a degree with honors in Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Administration from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, USA and a certificate for Hotel & Restaurant Administration from the International College of Hospitality Administration in Brig, Switzerland, Mr. Dhawan has had vast operational and management experience working with several hotel properties in Asia including Ibis and Novotel Bengaluru Techpark in India; Ibis Singapore on Bencoolen and Century Roxy Park in Singapore; Mercure Sydney; Sofitel Plaza Hanoi in Vietnam; Century Wanchai, The Excelsior, and the Mandarin Oriental in HongKong. He now comes home to Manila since starting his hotel career at the Mandarin Oriental Manila back in 1994-1995.
