Frequent travelers and travel deal seekers will be happy to know that their favorite hunting ground for the best travel deals will again be held at the SMX Halls 1-4 on February 7-9.
With the slogan, “More Real”, the 27th Travel Tour Expo will have more than 1,000 booths and more than 400 exhibitors that will offer up to 70% discounts from cruise lines, airline fares, hotels, theme parks, and related travel establishments to go with tour package deals from professional travel agents and ensure memorable and cost-efficient trips for all.
Being the largest annual gathering on travel and tours—domestic and international—the three-day expo expects to welcome 100,000 foot traffic. This aims for travel agencies and tour operators to give more value and more savings through affordable limited-time deals.
“This is the best year to travel, given the long weekends published. International travel has also become affordable thus we expect not only millennials, but also professionals to be active tourists,” said PTAA president Richie Tuaño.
He added that TTE aims to encourage more Filipinos and families to travel. “After all, traveling is one of the best ways for a family to bond and rediscover each other. As you’re exploring new places, your have the chance to see your family members in a new light. Perhaps, it’s only when you travel that you get to see their fun sides.”
The 600-strong Philippine Travel Agents Association has been organizing the Travel Tour Expo event for the past 27 years, thus enjoying a cult following of diehard globetrotters intent on having the best value for their money.
On the other hand, a twin-event, the International Travel Trade Expo (iTTE), that is primarily business-to-business (B2B) will be held on February 3-4 at SMX Hall 1. Now on its 5th year, the iTTE will have 61 international sellers from more than 25 countries who will meet with 171 buyers on one-on-one discussions in designated booths.
“There is growth on new destinations offered and more sellers are expected as it will now be held on a bigger venue at Hall 1 and on separate dates for the first time,” shared Jhaytee Wong, PTAA executive vice-president.
