As Informa Markets and the Routes team continue to monitor the developments of the Novel Coronavirus which first emerged from Wuhan, China in December of 2019, they have announced today that Routes Asia will now be postponed.

Routes Asia was originally scheduled for 8-10 March 2020 in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Recent statement said, “We have been adhering to the precautions and safety measures as recommended by government authorities, as well as the World Health Organisation (WHO) and are taking their guidance and recommendations seriously.”

This is in line with the efforts by the local authorities, particularly in China, to control and limit the spread of this infectious disease.

Steven Small, Director of Events for Routes, which is an Informa Markets business, stated “We continue to remain in constant communication with our hosts, Airports of Thailand and their key stakeholders, and, after much discussion and consideration, in light of the constantly evolving situation, we have taken the difficult decision to reschedule the event. This is unprecedented in the history of Routes events and we have not taken the decision lightly, the safety of our customers and staff is always our top priority.”

The event will be postponed to 7-9 June this year, the plans will remain the same and together with the host team at Airports of Thailand feel that this is the right thing to do in light of the ever-changing situation both in China and the wider Asia region.

Any exhibitor and sponsor contracts, delegate attendance fees and payments already made for Routes Asia will carry over to the revised dates. We wish to thank each and every customer who has supported us on Routes Asia and greatly appreciate your patience and understanding.
