Beginning July 5, Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, will launch a new daily service from Dubai to Montreal. This development marks Emirates’ second gateway in Canada, further strengthening its passenger and cargo services in the country alongside its existing flights to Toronto.

The introduction of flights to Montreal is a significant step in deepening economic cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and Canada. This move aims to boost the aviation and tourism sectors while enhancing trade flows and commercial links between the two nations. With the new daily flights, travelers now have increased flexibility when flying to Canada, with direct connectivity from Dubai to the country’s two largest metropolitan hubs.

Passengers departing from Montreal can now enjoy Emirates’ renowned award-winning services and seamless connections through Dubai, providing access to the airline’s expansive global network of over 130 destinations across 70 countries and territories. The daily flights between Dubai and Montreal will operate as EK243/244 with a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in a three-class configuration, offering a premium travel experience with eight First Class suites, 42 lie-flat seats in Business Class, and 304 seats in Economy Class.

Tickets for the Dubai-Montreal route are available for purchase for flights commencing on July 5th. Travelers can book their tickets conveniently through emirates.com, the Emirates App, or via travel agents.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer, expressed his excitement about the new venture: “Emirates is excited to launch our second gateway into Canada as we expand our reach in the country with direct services from our hub in Dubai. As a major metropolitan center and Canada’s second-largest city, we are pleased to add Montreal to our growing global network. We would like to thank the UAE and Canadian authorities and airport stakeholders for the enhanced agreements which have made this new destination possible.”

Emirates Skywards members will enjoy the benefits of the partnership, earning Miles on eligible Air Canada flights and having the ability to redeem Miles for reward tickets across Air Canada’s extensive network.

Montreal, the second-largest city in Canada and the capital of Quebec, offers a rich blend of culture, festivals, and a thriving business hub. The flight timings from Montreal provide Canadian travelers with convenient access to popular leisure destinations beyond Dubai, such as Thailand, Lebanon, India, Bali, and French-speaking Indian Ocean destinations like Seychelles. Furthermore, this new service opens up convenient inbound connections to Montreal for both leisure and corporate travelers, international students, and visitors from Dubai, India, Lebanon, Singapore, Southeast Asia, and African countries.

Emirates has been serving Toronto since 2007 and operating its flagship A380 service on the Dubai-Toronto route since 2009. As of April, Emirates now offers a daily A380 service to Toronto, providing an impressive 6,800 seats per week. With the addition of Montreal, Emirates will offer travelers a choice of two points for travel to Canada, with a combined capacity of over 11,800 seats, further expanding its network across the Americas to include two points in Canada, 12 cities in the United States, and four destinations across Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina.

Emirates invites travelers to experience the beauty of Dubai, offering sun-soaked beaches, heritage activities, world-class hospitality, and a variety of unforgettable experiences.

Trade between the UAE and Canada continues to thrive, with the UAE being Canada’s largest export market in the Middle East and North Africa. In 2022, bilateral trade between the two nations exceeded C$2.6 billion, showcasing a remarkable 53% growth over the past five years. Additionally, Canada ranks among Dubai’s top 20 source markets for inbound tourism, with 158,000 Canadian visitors in 2022, more than doubling the number from the previous year.

Emirates looks forward to welcoming travelers aboard its new daily service between Dubai and Montreal, further strengthening the ties between the UAE and Canada and creating new opportunities for business, tourism, and cultural exchange.
