Avis Car Rental Philippines has been honoured as ‘Licensee of the Year’ in the 2014 Avis Car Rental Licensee Awards for Asia Pacific at a gala event in Phuket, Thailand.

Perceived with its growth in annual financial performance, measured against its local country economic growth and strong delivery of strategic initiatives, Avis Philippines was distinguished by the judging panel of the Licensee Awards.

Avis Philippines’ strong alignment with Avis Car Rental’s global initiatives and its focus upon customer satisfaction also contributed to the achievement.

Avis India, Avis Vietnam, and Avis Taiwan were recognized for their outstanding achievement in the areas of growth and excellence in customer service.

Avis Car Rental is operated in the Philippines by the independently-owned licensee G&S Transport Corporation which was established in April 1972 for the specific purpose of operating the Philippine license of Avis Rent A Car International. Avis Philippines started operations in April 1972 with six cars and one station. Today, it has a fleet of more than 450 vehicles and 19 stations throughout the country.
