Exhibitors of the PTAA Travel and Tour Expo 2015 revealed a teaser of their programs for the weekend travel show.
The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) will bring K-Pop superstar Sandara Park of 2NE1 and K-Pop Idol Group NOM on February 15. Park will grace a talk show, while Idol group NOM will sing their songs and oblige to fan signs during the event.
The gimmick is expected to boost traffic to the KTO’s pavilions on the second floor of the convention center, which features “K-Beauty and Fun”, and the “Spring Blossoms in Korea” on the ground level.
KTO revealed that 434,951 Filipino tourists visited Korea in 2014. Over 2,750 of those visitors were medical tourists, a segment that has increased 71.2 percent every year. In 2015, the KTO aims to attract at least 3,840 medical tourists from the Philippines.
Meanwhile, Contiki, a tour operator catering to 18 to 35-year old consumers, has extended its 10-percent early bird discount for attendees. As part of the three-day exclusive worldwide extension, tourists will enjoy an additional USD100 savings for two-to-go and receive a collectible Contiki backpack for trips purchased at the travel expo.
Some of Contiki’s products that will be highlighted in its pavilion this weekend include tours in Italy, Spain, Morocco, and Portugal. Contiki is represented at the event by Rajah Travel Corporation at booths 322-324 and 335-337.
Travel and Tour Expo 2015 will run from February 13 to 15 at SMX Convention Center.
