Early-bird Run and Vacation Packages now available from travel trade partners ahead of public enrolment

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL)’s popular 10K Weekend event will return on November 2-3, 2019. The resort is working with travel trade partners to offer runners from the Asia Pacific region a head-start to enroll for the event. Early bird sign-up offers are available from now through select travel trade partners before public registration opens in July. The run and resort vacation packages will be the perfect way for runners to enjoy a complete 10K Weekend vacation experience where sporty fun meets Disney magic.

In addition to multiple categories of daytime races taking participants into the Hong Kong Disneyland theme park for an exclusive running experience, a “Pixar Pals Night Run Party” will be introduced for the first time for 10K Weekend 2019, in which runners can experience a Disney night run and invite their friends to enjoy a post-race party together at the theme park.

A big cast of Pixar Pals and Disney Friends to cheer on runners

Now in its fourth year, HKDL’s 10K Weekend 2019 presents a series of exciting themed events for runners of different ages and abilities. Joy and Sadness from Inside Out invite guests to pursue dreams and show perseverance in the Inside Out 5K race. Woody and Buzz Lightyear will cheer on runners in the Toy Story 10K, while Mike and Sully are ready to have fun with families in the Monsters, Inc. 3K. Little ones will find a great way to spend their energy in the Mickey and Friends Kids Races.

All enrolled runners will receive an exclusive runner’s pack, containing an event-themed T-shirt, a race bib and other goodies. Runners will be presented with a collectible event-only medal upon crossing the finish line. Also available is limited-edition merchandise created especially for this year’s races. Guests and runners are invited to dress in their favorite Disney-themed costumes to join 100-plus Pixar Pals from beloved movies, Disney Friends and performers in this unforgettable sports extravaganza!

Experience Disney nighttime magic in first-ever Pixar Pals Night Run

Sporty guests seeking day-to-night fun must join the first-ever 3K “Pixar Pals Night Run Party.” This brand-new addition to the 10K Weekend lets runners experience HKDL awash with an alluring neon glow!

Before starting the race, Night Run Party guests are welcome to enjoy the immersive daytime attractions and entertainment in the park. When night falls, the park will be lit up to present a different magical scene. The “Pixar Pals Night Run Party” kicks off with a night race, during which the park will be open only to runners and their cheering supporters along a designated route, pulsating with the park’s gorgeous night scenery. After the run, guests can bring their friends into the park for an exciting post-race party with Pixar Pals and Disney Friends! There will be a DJ spinning tracks. Guests can look forward to delicious food and many picture-perfect opportunities in front of colorful Disney decorations to create lots of cherished memories at this inaugural night run event.

The 10K Weekend 2019 is the perfect opportunity to experience a brand-new, complete “Park. Hotel. Run.” experience extending through day and night. As well as the races, guests can explore attractions and entertainment across seven themed lands at HKDL, including the world’s only Marvel-themed attractions, “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle!” and “Iron Man Experience.” An exotic resort stay also awaits at Disney Explorers Lodge, featuring four gardens themed after different continents, three restaurants and an outdoor swimming pool.

HKDL has worked with travel trade partners to introduce great-value holiday packages to guarantee a spot at the races for overseas guests. The packages are available for booking immediately, on a first-come-first-served basis, well before public registration opens in July.
