When you have a big meetings facility like Marriott Grand Ballroom (MGB), the next question for the host is whether enough rooms are available to accommodate delegates.
Resorts World Manila is targeting to increase its combined total room count to 4,200 in the next four years from 1,226 rooms to draw more MICE business.
Currently, RWM is constructing the extensions to the Marriott Manila and Maxims Hotels and building new hotels, namely Hilton Manila Hotel, Sheraton Hotel Manila, and Belmont Hotel, among others.
The developments will support MGB, a four-story building whose main ballroom has a maximum 4,000 capacity. “With Marriott Grand Ballroom, the largest hotel ballroom in the country now operational, we intend to capture a significant share of the MICE market,” said Stephen Reilly, chief operating officer of RWM.
MGB will formally open on July 1 with a special dinner highlighted by a concert by multi-Grammy award-winner, James Ingram.
