In this atmosphere of renewed interest and rising demand to travel, the Philippine Travel Agents Association (PTAA) has launched the 29th Travel Tour Expo & 7th International Travel Trade Expo at the SMX Convention Center Manila to be held F2F (face-to-face) on June 24-26, 2022.

With the theme “Braving and Shaping the Future of Travel, the upcoming F2F expo is poised to boost the tourism industry with great travel deals and tour packages that will be made available to both foreign and domestic travelers.

Numerous destinations will be featured as well as exclusive promotions and discounts on airfare, accommodations, and tours. Travelers can also get to choose their travel schedules, favored transport vehicles on air, sea, or land, and even secure travel insurance on the spot. Attendees can also look forward to exciting raffles, corporate game shows, exhibitors and sponsors’ presentations, and varied entertainment numbers.

From a high of 1,035 exhibitors in four SMX Halls in 2019 receiving more than 120,000 visitors, this year’s event has been trimmed down to 142 exhibitors in two halls to maintain crowds and assure a safe and healthy environment.

The 29th Travel Tour Expo and 7th International Travel Trade Expo, it’s B2B component, will occupy Function Rooms 1 to 5 on the 2nd Floor of SMX Convention Center Manila.

Among the exhibitors who will be joining are airlines (8), travel agencies and tour operators (16 and 1 foreign-based), hotels and resorts (67), government and national tourism organization (17), travel insurance (5), travel related entities and merchandiser (21), and food concessionaires (9).

“We expect a conservative number of around 30,000 visitors this year due to the smaller number of exhibitors; however, we are back to four exhibition halls on February 2023 when the expected full normalization of global travel will be evident,” said Michelle Tylan, Chairman of the TTE 2022 organizing committee.

While the health and safety precautions are still a valid concerns, the government continues to impose the minimum health standards in cooperation with the local government and the Department of Tourism, reassuring that “Travel in the Philippines is safe, and as we always promised, more fun,” said Secretary Bernadette R. Puyat.

Sponsors for the event are: Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), Citibank, U-Coinville by Unilever, Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, Turkish Airlines, PLDT, Travel Update Philippines, and Philippine Star.
