Cebu Pacific is set to boost its fleet this December through a damp lease agreement with Bulgaria Air to accommodate the surge in passenger demand during the peak travel season.
Under the agreement, two Airbus A320ceo aircraft, each with a 180-seat capacity, will be leased from Bulgaria Air to serve four key domestic routes from Manila—Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, and Cagayan de Oro—from December 2025 to January 2026.
Bulgaria Air, the national carrier of the Republic of Bulgaria, brings extensive experience in aircraft damp leasing, having successfully partnered with various airlines worldwide. Under the arrangement, Bulgaria Air will provide the aircraft, pilots, maintenance, and insurance, while Cebu Pacific will deploy its own cabin crew.
“We are continuously exploring ways to expand our fleet and ensure operational resilience,” said Xander Lao, President and Chief Commercial Officer of Cebu Pacific. “Our damp lease agreement with Bulgaria Air will allow us to meet strong travel demand from December 2025 to January 2026.”
Bulgaria Air is known for its reliability and quality service, operating a modern fleet that ensures passenger comfort and safety.
“We are pleased to partner with Cebu Pacific—one of the most dynamically developing airlines in Asia,” said Hristo Todorov, Chairman of the Management Board of Bulgarian Airways Group. “This collaboration is yet another testament to the trust and professionalism our team brings to international leasing projects.”
