The airline reaffirms its commitment to hiring 1,500 talented pilots over the next two years

Dubai, UAE — Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, is embarking on an ambitious recruitment drive to hire more than 1,500 new pilots over the next two years, with Filipino aviators among those encouraged to apply. The move comes as the airline continues its global growth trajectory and strengthens its flight operations.

In a statement marking World Pilots’ Day on May 1, Emirates honored the resilience and dedication of pilots worldwide, reaffirming its commitment to building a world-class flight crew community. The airline currently employs eight Filipino pilots, flying Emirates’ iconic Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft across a global network of 148 destinations on six continents.

“Filipino pilots have long demonstrated skill, professionalism, and global adaptability—qualities that align perfectly with Emirates’ standards of excellence,” the airline said in a statement.

Career Acceleration & Modern Fleet

Emirates is investing heavily in career development, spotlighting its Accelerated Command program, which fast-tracks First Officers to Captain roles. More than 80 pilots are currently undergoing this command upgrade. The airline also recently welcomed the A350 to its fleet, adding to its roster of 261 wide-body aircraft—the youngest and most modern fleet in the skies.

Pilots at Emirates are offered a competitive tax-free salary, profit sharing, and an extensive suite of benefits including life, medical, and dental coverage, luxury staff transport, and housing in gated communities. They are also entitled to 42 days of annual leave, family tickets in premium cabins, and deeply discounted travel for extended family and friends.

Emirates offers access to exclusive perks through its Platinum Card and Premium Club Membership, unlocking discounts and access to fitness and leisure clubs, retail stores, and dining outlets across the UAE and beyond.

Global Recruitment Tour

To support its ambitious growth, Emirates will be conducting pilot roadshows in over 40 cities worldwide this year, targeting more than 550 new hires. Following sessions in Italy, upcoming stops include Norway, Finland, and Sweden. Since 2022, nearly 2,000 new pilots have joined the Emirates flight crew.

Interested applicants can explore career opportunities in four pathways: Direct Entry Captains, Accelerated Command, First Officers Type Rated, and First Officers Non-Type Rated. Full details and eligibility requirements are available at www.emiratesgroupcareers.com/pilots.
